The Irish Palatine Association held a reception to announce the launch of their annual Journal on Friday 26th August, 2005 at 7.30 pm at the Irish Palatine Museum, Old Railway Buildings, Rathkeale, Co.Limerick, Ireland. Rev. D.A. Levistone Cooney spoke on the Switzers, their contribution to Irish life, including the story of Switzers shop of Grafton Street, Dublin. Guests from Hochdorf-Assenheim were in attendance. Assenheim is the ancestral German home of the Irish Palatine family, Switzer. Refreshments were served (including wines from the Palatinate).
